Purpose.

The design brief for Bulwer St. was an inclusive residential design. My hypothetical clients live with Chromophobia (fear of colour, specifically red & yellow) and anxiety. The goals of the design were to create a flexible and protective home as an inner-city escape. By designing a skin that wraps around the house, it provides a layer of protection against any colour coming through, allowing the couple to take full advantage of their property without fear of triggers from the surrounding city. The inside of the home was designed to focus on green spaces and views of the courtyard, creating a calming environment.
